Make your page visible to guests and test the tap or scan experience.
What this guide helps you do
This guide helps you publish a page so guests and customers can open it from a TAPPDATT device.
Estimated time: 2-5 minutes
Before you start
- You have access to your TappDatta dashboard.
- Your page is saved.
- You reviewed the title, branding, buttons, and mobile layout.
- Your TAPPDATT device is connected, or you know which device you will connect after publishing.
What you'll need
- Dashboard access
- A saved page
- A phone for mobile testing
- A connected TAPPDATT device, if available
What does publish mean?
Draft means private and not yet visible.
Published means visible to guests/customers.
Publishing makes the page available to people who open it from the right link, tap, or scan.
Preflight checklist
- Title looks right
- Logo and branding look right
- Buttons and cards work
- Mobile layout looks good
- Device is connected, if available
- Tap or scan has been tested, if available
Step-by-step instructions
- Open Pages. Go to Dashboard - Pages.
- Open your page. Choose the page you want guests to see.
- Preview it. Use Preview if available. Check the page on mobile.
- Publish the page. Choose Publish or change the page status to Published.
- Save the change. Choose Save if the dashboard asks you to confirm.
- Test access. Open the page directly, then tap or scan the connected TAPPDATT device if one is assigned.
What happens after publishing?
Guests can access the page from the correct link, tap, or scan. If a device is connected to this page, tapping or scanning that device should open the published page.
What success looks like
The page status shows Published, the page opens on mobile, and the connected TAPPDATT device opens the intended page.
Common mistakes
Common mistake: You saved the page but did not publish it.
Fix: Open the page, choose Publish, save, and test again.
Common mistake: Your device is connected to a different page.
Fix: Open Dashboard - Devices, choose the device, and connect it to the correct page.
Troubleshooting
- Tap opens the wrong page: Check the device assignment and choose the correct page.
- Tap opens nothing: Confirm the device is assigned and the page is published.
- Changes are not appearing: Save again, refresh the page, and test from a new browser tab.
- Page still looks private: Confirm the status says Published, not Draft.
